Obstinance

Challenges

1. Consider ways you may be so committed to your viewpoints that it results in you being unkind to others. Reflect on ways you can remedy this unkindness even if you continue to hold a particular viewpoint. Put one of these ways into practice this week.

2. Read Matthew 21:23-32, Exodus 32, Nehemiah 9, Proverbs 13:1, Jeremiah 35:12-19, Hosea 10:12, Amos 5, Matthew 9:9-13 and 11:28-30, Mark 3:1-6, Luke 6:46-49, and John 3:1-21. List at least four things you find important in these passages about being obstinate versus being willing to learn. Share what you learn with someone.

3. Create something that represents a willingness to listen and learn. Share with someone what it means to you.
