SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Salem United Methodist Church’s Endowment Fund offers scholarships to those students furthering education beyond high school.  Students must be active members of Salem UMC. Applications are due annually by JUNE 1 to the church office.

Scholarship awards will be considered based on priority.  First, students seeking a degree in ministerial or religious studies are to be given the highest priority. Second, students enrolling in United Methodist colleges are to receive the second highest priority. Third, students enrolling in other church colleges whose theology is not inconsistent with United Methodist theology and social principals shall receive the third highest priority. Fourth, students who enroll in other institutions of higher learning shall also be considered, but the amounts of scholarships will be awarded after the higher priority categories. This does not mean you will not receive a scholarship, only that other applicants with priority will be considered first in the amount awarded.
